What the statuses mean
Privacy notice
This describes what the platform records about you, who can see it and how long it is kept.
- Your name, mobile number and email address are never shown on the public map, in public complaint listings or to other citizens. The public map shows the location and category of an issue and nothing that identifies who reported it.
- Whether a government officer handling your complaint may see your mobile number is your choice, recorded when you register and changeable afterwards. If you have not consented, the number is withheld even from officers who otherwise hold the permission to view contact details.
- Only what is needed to route and resolve the complaint is collected: the location, the category, your description, an optional photograph and the contact details you supply.
- Every action taken on a complaint — who received it, who assigned it, who changed its status and when — is permanently recorded and cannot be edited or deleted. This record exists so that the handling of your complaint can be reviewed.
- Complaint records, sign-in records and the audit trail are retained for the period configured by the authority. Retention below the statutory minimum is refused by the system.

Terms of use
Conditions that apply when you use this platform to report an issue.
- Report issues accurately and at the location where they occur. Complaints are routed to a department on the basis of the location and category you give, so an inaccurate report delays the work rather than speeding it up.
- Do not submit false, abusive or repeated duplicate complaints. Accounts used in that way may be blocked, and the sign-in and submission records are retained.
- This platform is not an emergency service. For a fire, a medical emergency, a crime in progress or any immediate danger to life, contact the emergency services directly.

Accessibility
This platform is built to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader and at enlarged text sizes. The following are properties of the software as built and are verified by automated tests.
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link to the main content as the first stop on each page.
- Status colours carry a text label as well as a colour, so meaning is never conveyed by colour alone.
- The whole interface is available in Tamil and English, and the choice is remembered.
- Text can be enlarged in the browser without loss of content or function, and the base text size is large enough that mobile browsers do not zoom when a form field is selected.
If any part of this platform is difficult for you to use, tell us at Contact so it can be corrected.
